We're getting married!

Please join us on Wednesday, November 6th, 2024 in celebrating our wedding at Secrets Akumal All Inclusive Resort in Mexico!

Come enjoy a great adults only all inclusive resort experience where all your meals, and alcohol are included with your stay while you celebrate our wedding with us.

To take care of all your travel plans, we have been working closely with a travel agency that specializes in destination weddings, Vibe Thrive Travel. With their help, we have reserved a block of rooms with special group rates at the resort.

We ask that you book your stay directly from this site, as guests that book outside the group may incur additional fees to attend the wedding events.

In order to take advantage of the room block pricing, all guests must have their reservations made and paid in full by June 1st, 2024.

We are currently holding rooms from November 2nd - November 8th, 2024. You are able to book any dates you would like. If we are not holding all of the nights to fulfill you reservation, our travel agent will reach out to the resort. All guests must be staying at the resort in order to attend the wedding. The resort requires a 3 night minimum stay.

Airport/Transportation: You will fly into CUN (Cancun Airport). When you make your reservation, you will see the option to add transfers. You will be provided with all of the details for your transportation before travel. Our travel agent will request your flight details prior to travel.

Check-in Policy:
Check-in begins at 3pm Guests arriving earlier than 3pm are welcome to use the resort immediately upon arrival even if your room is not ready. The hotel requires a credit/debit card authorization or cash deposit upon check-in for incidentals; this will place a hold on your funds. Check-out is 12pm.

Transportation

Transportation to and from Cancun (CUN) Airport and the resort will be available while making your reservation.

Shared NON STOP Transportation: $90 per person (total round trip) - No stops will be made at other hotels but you may wait on guests from the same flights.

Private transfers for up to 7 guests: $264 per vehicle (total round trip)

Private Luxury transfers for up to 5 guests: $407 per vehicle (total round tirp)

Price Matching

Please submit your reservation as normal, and in the special requests / notes field, please let us know where you found a better rate. We may require a e-mailed screen shot of the offer, and we will send this information to the price match team.

It is important that your booking still be made with the group so that it will still count towards our group.

The cost of the events held at the resort are directly affected by bookings being within the group space, and any bookings outside of our room block end up costing us more!

Price Matching Details:

Room only rates in USD must be publicly available (membership clubs excluded) to be considered by the resort for a price match.

Websites must be US Based.

Vacation package rates which include airfare, airport transfers and/or travel protection cannot be price matched.

Advanced Payment rates (full payment is due at the time of reservation and are usually non-refundable/non-changeable) cannot be price matched. All price matches are subject to approval by the resort. Vibe Thrive Travel cannot guarantee a price match request will be approved by the resort.

Excursions

From horseback riding, to exploring beautiful cenotes and ancient Mayan ruins, we want you to experience everything Mexico has to offer. It’s best to explore off-resort excursions with the most trusted name in travel in Mexico, Lomas Travel. Not only will Lomas Travel be there to meet you at the airport and take you to your resort if you purchase transfers with us, but there will also be a Lomas travel representative at your hotel during regular business hours in case you need them for anything.

You can plan to make the most of your trip by pre-purchasing any excursions you want to do so that when you arrive for your vacation, you wont have to worry about what tours are already sold out.

FAQ's

How many days should I arrive before the wedding?
-We'd love for you to think of this as your vacation with our wedding in between! Please arrive at least 1 day before the wedding so that you may attend any welcome events.

May I setup a payment plan?
-You will receive a payment link once your reservation is made and you will be able to make payments at anytime.

Can you help me arrange transportation to/from the airport and resort?
-Yes, when you make your reservation using the booking form, you will see the option to add on transportation. We will need your flight information 60 days before travel.

What is the cancellation policy?
-Your initial deposit is non-refundable. If you cancel your reservation before the final payment due date, you will only lose your deposit. If you cancel once your reservation is paid in full and the final payment date has passed, refunds will depend on insurance purchased. If you do not purchase insurance, your reservation is non-refundable. You may purchase travel credit insurance or cash back insurance which will cover the cost of your trip.

May I use USD in Mexico?
-Absolutely! The resort is all inclusive, meaning that your drinks and food are covered your entire stay! We recommend bringing small bills ($1s & $5s) to tip bartenders and servers a few bucks if you are experiencing good service.

Important Travel Information:

Your passport should not expire within 6 months AFTER travel! Even though your passport may be valid, the airline can deny you boarding if your passport expires within 6 months AFTER travel. Do not risk it, renew if you are due!
